Key Club will host ‘Walk With the Stars’
JACKSON — The Jackson Liberty High School Key Club, a club that fosters community service and leadership, will host “Walking With the Stars” 3-7 p.m. March 21 on the track at Jackson Liberty High School, 125 N. Hope Chapel Road.
“Walking With the Stars” will raise funds for Stand Up to Cancer, an organization dedicated to improving and furthering cancer research in order to find a cure.
All are invited to take part in the event, which will feature a “Celebration of Life” kickoff party at 3 p.m., followed by the walk from 5 to 7 p.m.
The “Celebration of Life” will include food and beverage sales, carnival games, a disc jockey, face painting, and inflatable activities for small children to enjoy. Proceeds raised will be donated to the fundraiser.
During the walk, supporters will be given a light to represent hope for a cure and a change and to honor those affected by cancer. There is no entrance fee to participate, but a donation of $10 or more would be appreciated.
