The Lakewood BlueClaws annual Fan- Fest will return to FirstEnergy Park, New Hampshire and Cedar Bridge avenues, Lakewood, on March 20 from noon to 5 p.m. FanFest marks the day that individual game tickets for the 10th season in BlueClaws history will go on sale to the general public, and the event will include a full day of free fun at the ballpark.

FanFest-10 is presented by the U.S. Census, which will hand out BlueClaws mini bats to the first 1,500 fans ages 17 and under.

In addition to individual game tickets going on sale for the first time, each reserve seat will be $1 off the regular price and will sell for $9 (adult) or $6 (junior/senior). Fans who have already ordered their seats through a ticket package can pick up their tickets at the ballpark.

Included in the afternoon are free food and drinks, behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark, and photos with the two Blue- Claws championship trophies.

BlueClaws Kids Club members can participate in a scavenger hunt and listen to the story of Clawd, about the crab on the new BlueClaws logo.

Plus, there will be a sale in the ClawsCove stadium store.

Further, fans who bring in nonperishable food items (donated to Ocean County Hunger Relief) or gently used cell phones (donated to Cell Phones for Soldiers) will receive a voucher good for two tickets to an April home game.

BlueClaws ticket packages and group outings are currently on sale at 732-901- 7000.

Phone and online sales will begin on March 22.

Opening Day, when the BlueClaws raise the 2009 championship banner, is April 16 and there will be post-game fireworks.
