Food pantry continues to seek donations

JACKSON — The Jackson Women of Today, which operates the Jackson food pantry, is continuing to seek donations to keep the pantry’s shelves stocked during the summer months.

The food pantry will be open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 9-11 a.m. to make it easier for community members to drop off donations, according to a press release.

The August dates when donations will be accepted are Aug. 14 and Aug. 28.

Individuals may feel free to bring in a donation and receive a tour of the food pantry. Volunteers are welcome to stop in during these times to help with cleaning, sorting and stocking the pantry’s shelves.

The Jackson Women of Today welcome large food drives, but request that special arrangements be made in advance.

The food pantry is in the Jackson public works building at 10 Don Connor Blvd.

Anyone with questions may call 732- 833-6800 and leave a message for Donna Sauers, the food pantry director. Sauers may also be reached at director@jacksonfoodpantry. com.
