The Howell Girls Softball League 8U all-star team defeated Cranford, 10-5, to win the Woodbridge Summertime Sizzle Tournament. The weather was hot and the Howell players were hotter; they won the tournament with great defense and outstanding hitting while going 5-0 in tournament play. The team was put together in May by All-Star director Loni Hulse and team manager John Lynde. The Howell all-stars are Julia Canal, Kaitlyn Pierce, Gabriella Polera, Kiera Quinn, Hannah Lynde, Alexis Post, Madison Lowry, Jessica Cancel, Shea Roberts, Megan Matsil, Kristina Pelano and Caitlin Callahan.
