Donald J. Farrell
Mr. Farrell, 76, of Manalapan, died July 21, 2010, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. He served in the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was a senior underwriter for Metropolitan Life Insurance. Mr. Farrell was predeceased by three siblings, William, George and Mabel; and three brothers-in-law, Kenneth, Chic and John. Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years, Louise; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donald of Manalapan, and David and Janet of Freehold; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Nicholas Sorochka of Jackson; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, James and Callie of Santee, S.C., Larry and Mary of Manalapan, Peggy of Chicago, Ill., and Jeanette of Boca Raton, Fla.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucy of Brooklyn, N.Y., Terry of New York City, and Patty and Charlie of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Englishtown. Interment followed at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Arrangements were by Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
