Renaissance Fair will benefit charities
      The Lakewood Lions Club and the Society for Creative Anachronism will host their 29th annual Charity Renaissance Fair Sept. 18 and 19 in Lakewood’s Pine Park at Country Club Drive and County Line Road, Lakewood. The event will feature knights in shining armor, a gypsy camp, belly dancers, wandering minstrels, jugglers, fire eaters, pony rides, magic and much more.

      • “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving will be presented by the American Historical Theatre of Philadelphia at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Jackson library, 2 Jackson Drive, Jackson. At the end of the presentation, there will be a discussion about the 19th-century author.

      • The Jackson Food Pantry, located in the Jackson Department of Public Works, 10 Don Connor Blvd., will be open on the second and fourth Saturday of each month 9-11 a.m. to make it easier for the community to drop off donations. Upcoming dropoff dates will be Sept. 11, Sept. 25, Oct. 9 and Oct. 23.

The Bartley team will include approximately 25 Bartley employees, family members and friends, all of whom are collecting pledges and donations for the Alzheimer’s Association.
