Mr. Ossino, 76, of Lakewood, died Jan. 7, 2012, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was employed as a manager for Hawthorn and Summerfield, Freehold, for 22 years. Prior to retiring in 1988, he was the owner of Mr. O’s Corner Store in Red Bank. Mr. Ossino was a U.S. Army veteran. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Amelia. Surviving are a son, Michael Ossino of Lakewood and his companion, Mary Ann; a daughter, Maria-Claire Van Sant of Lakewood; a sister, Esther Moran and her husband, John, of Staten Island, N.Y.; a brother, John Ossino of West Long Branch; and two grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood, NJ.
